Oh, the days
following one upon the other,
so full,
so busy,
so plentiful,
so taken for granted.
We hear that the days of someone we knew
have been cut short.
We pause.
We reflect.
We vow to savor our days much more than in the past.
Then there are more days.
Even in the fall, the time of reflection and worry for the future
there are many more days.
Again they spoil us.
The golden autumn can’t last forever.
But today is here.
We are here.
Oh, the days of our lives,
precious days.
