America and Western Civilization Must Return to Our Roots

What we call western civilization has its roots in the cultures of western Europe. The hard rock foundation of western civilization originates from the Judeo-Christian values as recorded in the Christian Bible. These are undeniable truths.

Modern western civilization is the result of cultural maturing that took place during the Age of Reason, also known as the Age of Enlightenment during the 16^th and 17^th centuries. Although there was generally religious freedom, individual freedom was a missing element, even after “enlightenment.”

Then late in the 17^th century two unique documents were developed in the colonies of Great Britain on the North American continent. These two documents took the ages of Reason and Enlightenment to the next higher level in modern western civilization. Not only was religious freedom expanded, but for the first time in modern history, individual human liberty was the focus of these documents.

Of course, I am referring to the Declaration of Independence separating the colonies from Great Britain and the United States Constitution, which established a form of government where the citizens had a major say in how the government was to conduct the business of government. These documents represented an earth-shattering concept of individual liberty and individual self-reliance. The fundamental basis for these documents was based on the teachings of Jesus Christ as documented in the Christian Bible. Then for the next 120 years, this new nation known as the United States of America morphed into a nation previously unseen in human history.

In the early part of the 20^th century, America went to war in Europe. This was not a war of conquest, but a war to liberate. Then 23 years later, America spent blood and treasure in a second war, not only in Europe, but in Asia and the Pacific as well.

As in the First World War, America appeared to help liberate people, not to conquer them. The only land claimed in these two wars was the ground necessary to bury and honor the military members who sacrificed their lives in those endeavors to liberate others. Then astonishingly, the United States of America led the world in helping the enemies of World War II rebuild their nations and economies, previously unheard of in world history.

After World War II, America became the unquestioned leader of the free world and the bellwether for western civilization. The structure of the American form of government made America the most innovative, the most giving, the most free, the most tolerant, and the most prosperous country to have ever existed on the planet. America is still seen by most of the world as the place to be.

However, western civilization has lost its way. Since the post World War II recovery, Europe has drifted away from its Christian roots. Christianity is dying in most European countries along with the Judeo-Christian values so necessary for western culture’s survival. In addition, the welcoming nature of western civilization to the oppressed people of the world blinded much of Europe when they welcomed unlimited migration of Muslims into their society. After 20 years, it is now being recognized that these people did not move to Europe to assimilate, but rather to conquer and take control of these nations. I believe Europe has a very limited window of opportunity to reverse this movement, or they will find themselves living under Islamic rule, which is the very antithesis of western culture and civilization.

In this year alone, the radical Islamic government of Iran has killed over 40,000 of its own Muslim citizens. Is there any doubt about how Islamists might handle native Europeans if they resist converting to Islam?

The American version of western civilization is also on the brink of destruction—not as close as Europe, but on the brink just the same. Since the 1970s, America has also started drifting away from Christianity and the Judeo-Christian values required for tradition western civilization. For the first 175 years that America existed, the country grew and prospered because the Constitution provides a form of government where the good of the nation depended on all parties cooperating even the differing views of a problem. However, in the last quarter of the 20^th century people in America not only were drifting from Christianity, but they also began transitioning from a “we” society to a “me, me, me society.” In other words: Every man for himself, and Devil take the hindmost society. That approach is a death nell for a civilization, if unchecked.

America must return to the values exhibited by the Founding Fathers and the Judeo-Christian values that were the fundamental principles that were the guidelines for the development of the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution. America must also adjust its mind set back to the reality that collectively, “we” can be more successful than “me” alone.

I am encouraged that many young people in America are seeking out Christianity to fill a void in their lives.

I am encouraged that Americans are beginning to recognize that most of the chaos in the streets of America is caused by paid agitators and their useful idiot minions, funded by an evil cabal of anti-American foreign and domestic oligarchs with designs on ruling the world.

I am encouraged by the news that the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has been revealed as an activist arm of the above-mentioned oligarchs which has been fueling divisiveness in America for years. Imagine that an organization “fighting racism” is also funding the Klu Klux Klan.

I am encouraged that men are getting over the wokism accusation of “toxic masculinity” and manning up against feminization of the American male that has prevailed for a couple of decades. Men are allowing themselves to be proud men again.

I am encouraged that thoughtful, reasonable people and corporations are making the choice to flee the tyranny of anti-American Socialist Democrat jurisdictions all over America. In many respects it is like Ayn Rand’s John Galt solution from Atlas Shrugged; patriotic Americans are refusing to continue paying governments that are working against them and their ability to keep their hard-earned money and live in a safe environment.

I am encouraged because these changes are indications that America is reclaiming its faith in God, Christianity, Judeo-Christian values, and the rugged individualism that made America great in the first place. If America makes it, western civilization will survive.

Know God and know western civilization can survive. No God and know tyranny and bondage.
