Charlie Kirk’s Funeral: Reflections on the Life of a Christian Genius

On September 10, 2025, Charlie Kirk was assassinated by a woke fanatic. Tomorrow, Sept 21, 2025, Kirk’s funeral will be held in a football stadium, with an estimated 100,000 in attendance. How will the ceremony unfold? With great dignity and honor, unlike Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar funeral – a death also by assassin, where it’s cynically asserted:

“Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears; I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him; The evil that men do lives after them, The good is oft interred with their bones, So let it be with Caesar.” ~ Shakespeare, Julius Caesar

And yet, with Charlie Kirk, the exact opposite is true, for Charlie lived a shining life in service to man and God. Kirk did not specialize in evil, but in love – frequently turning the other cheek to ignorant abuse. Further, Charlie did not hide behind his Father God Yahweh or Jesus Christ, but used his Christianity to illustrate his debate answers. Charlie offered a generally rational framework to approach life during a time of frequently insane and wickedly misguided folk.

You see, much of Charlie’s actions were spent flying nationally from school-to-school, simply asking the crowd questions, then responding to student retorts. The particular style lending Charlie’s dialogues their poignancy and power were his incisive replies informed by constant referral to the Bible. Kirk used the life of Christ and general biblical ideals as role models, outlines and blueprints for his efforts to cure USA of our national malaise.

And while Charlie interacted like a world-class debater, he wasn’t afraid to break it down to young learners. And so, like Plato’s Dialogues, Charlie’s back-and-forth with these kids explored topics examining the most important dilemmas of Modern America and their various life choices.

Another aspect of Charlie’s style was his vast knowledge of ancient and modern subjects. It seemed like he had read-up and studied upon every single topic that might come up.Kirk enjoyed talking with others, and according to his friends and acquaintances – Charlie was the kindest celebrity they ever met.

To understand Charlie, everything he did was meant to awaken kids from their spiritual slumber. Kirk did this by way of using conversation from which he also touted Free Speech, that leftists sought daily to slay. He believed words and the Word were the strongest power in the universe. And let’s not forget what God writes in John 1: 1 – "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

And as stated by both the Bible & Shakespeare, death comes to us all. But Charlie was not afraid and every time he stepped out in public, he was aware that each event could be his last. But Kirk still went out every day, with joy in his heart, spreading his earthy and easily understood version of the Gospel. He was fearless and no coward, but embraced his Savior after his death.

Cowards die many times before their deaths,

It’s an oddity that the most arrogant tribe on earth, being atheistic Marxists, constantly brag about the intellectual and moral superiority of their cult. And yet, given the fact that logic, history and the debate stage all reject Karl Marx’s godless gospel, what is their last hope? Violence!

And so socialists and communists often attempt to permanently silence their critics by eliminating their breath and bodies. Recall that between Lenin, Stalin & Mao, that perhaps 150 million souls perished in communist lands, outside of war, because Marxists did not believe in God or human rights.

You can kill a man, which was even done to the God-Man Jesus Christ upon a tree 2,000 years ago in Golgatha, Jerusalem. But you can never kill and eliminate the Truth, which is an actual person! For as the Bible explains

“ Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

The Truth is a Man & God -- who can never truly die, and He sits at the right hand of the Father today…

Act 7:55-56 states:

“But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. And he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

And finally, we know that everything allowed by God into the life of the Believer is for His profit and the furtherment of God’s Kingdom.

As Romans 8:28 states:

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, wh have been called according to his purpose.”

And let us finally be glad that God is using Charlie Kirk and his great mind, and brilliant debates and wonderful podcasts and finally – his remarkable faith -- to achieve more now that he is with God, than when he walked amongst us.

As a mark of respect for the memory of Charlie Kirk, by the authority vested in me as President of the United States by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby order that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, September 14, 2025.  I also direct that the flag shall be flown at half-staff for the same length of time at all United States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels and stations.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this tenth day of September, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-five, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and fiftieth.
