Lies And More Lies

Just when I think the untruths, blatant lies, and bizarre conspiracy theories coming from the Left of the political spectrum cannot get any more wacky, a new low bar is set. Last week MSNBC news commentator Joy Reid “suggested” on live TV that the blood we saw on the face of our former President, Donald Trump, on July 13 at a political rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, did not come from a bullet ripping off the top part of his right ear, but instead from shards of glass from an exploding teleprompter.

Reid set forth an outlandish and horrifying “conspiracy theory” that the assassination attempt on Trump was staged (i.e., faked) even though one individual was shot dead and two others wounded. In my opinion, what Reid did by even “speculating” about such an awful possibility was just as bad as putting forth a dangerous lie. Fortunately, considering that millions of Americans saw what actually happened in real time, her totally disgusting and reckless insinuation is not going to gain much traction because there are too many witnesses and plenty of video evidence.

So why would a Harvard-educated journalist like Joy Reid, who has been a national television personality and cable news anchor for many years, be motivated to do what she did? I’m sure (tongue-in-check) her motivation had nothing to do with the fact that she worked on Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign or that the New York Times in 2018 called Reid an American “heroine” for her radical anti-Trump stance. Having worked in the news industry for as long as Reid has, she should know that putting forth such a whopper (lie or theory) would not go over well with the American public.

Pathological liars have no sense of shame, and without a sense of shame, human beings have no moral compass

So why did she do what she did? I believe she did it purposefully to stir up controversy and doubt in the minds of American voters. This is certainly not the first time Reid has taken a radical position or extreme action.

As a licensed mental health professional, I recognize that at some level, all human beings want to be well-liked, noticed, and looked upon with high regard. However, some humans take that desire to fulfill these basic needs to extraordinary levels. This includes lying or deliberately distorting facts to build up their egos and/or to get the attention they crave. This also includes unabashedly telling lies and promoting bogus stories.

Additionally, it’s my observation that the really brazen, flagrant liars and “flame throwers” of this world also seem to be narcissists, and narcissists have a proclivity for lying even when there is no reason to do so. Pathological liars have no sense of shame, and without a sense of shame, human beings have no moral compass.

Not only do narcissists unashamedly tell lies, but they also adamantly deny they ever said or did something even if you can prove they said or did it via video or audio recording. 

Joe Biden proves my assertion about liars and narcissists

On July 11, U.S. President Joe Biden held a press conference that once again proves my assertion about liars and narcissists. 

On national television, in front of 32 world leaders who had come to Washington, DC, to commemorate the 75^th anniversary of the North American Treaty Organization (NATO), Biden told so many outright lies and untruths that it was difficult to keep track of them.

Immediately after the press conference was over, major media outlets began replaying Biden’s remarks and pointing out lie after lie. Several news commentators also remarked on the fact that when a reporter confronts Biden about an outright lie, Biden doubles down and will never admit to having said or done something wrong.

Another example of this was the televised interview Lester Holt of NBC News conducted with Biden on July 14, one day after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. Mr. Holt gave President Biden multiple opportunities to retract or correct things he had previously said that were not true, but Biden did not do that. Instead, it was the millions of Americans watching Biden’s lie-riddled press conferences who ended up feeling ashamed, embarrassed, extremely disappointed, and downright fearful for the future of our beloved country.

Americans are not just being blatantly and shamelessly lied to by the Biden Administration, but also by many other government officials at the federal level, including the heads of the Federal Bureau of Investigate, the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security, and now most recently, by the Director of the United States Secret Service. However, I’m now beginning to believe change is coming in 2024.

In spite of the untrustworthy reputation and censoring efforts of the media, Americans are finding out more and more every day about the extent of the lies we have been told over the last three and a half years by officials in the Biden Administration and by Joe Biden himself. Fortunately, many credible individuals worldwide are now beginning to speak out more boldly, thus revealing the extent of the lies we were told during the alleged COVID-19 pandemic and the damage that resulted from those lies.

Considering Americans still don’t know all the facts about the John F. Kennedy assassination in 1963, it may take decades before Americans know the truth about who is really “pulling the strings” in the Biden Administration, why Obama’s birth certificate and college records were (and still are) hidden from the American public, and how many of our current world leaders are actually disciples of (and beholden to) the likes of Klaus Schwab, George Soros, and the greatest liar of all time, Satan.

Pathological liars do not suddenly stop lying because they are senile

While some may think Joe Biden deserves our empathy in his clearly diminished physical and mental state, I am not one of them. Joe Biden and his toadies have been lying to Americans for 50 years. Again, based on my experience as a mental health professional, I believe it is safe to say pathological liars do not suddenly stop lying because they are senile. The more a person lies, the less they worry about being caught in a lie because any moral virtue they may have had earlier in life has long ago slipped away.

The only thing Americans (and our Canadian friends) can do to protect ourselves from lying politicians and bureaucrats is to do as much factchecking as possible, trust your instincts, pray daily for trustworthy leaders to emerge, and VOTE in every local, state, and national election.
