California’s and Newsom’s masks are being torn off. The Governor has turned his back on the people of that state and caused it to not only become a breeding ground of leftist propaganda, but a pus-filled wound on the entire country. The fraud that takes place in what has become a cesspool of a state affects federal funding and is detrimental to even those smart enough not to live there.
Decades ago, Florida was jokingly referred to as a place where Americans went to die. Those jokes were never accurate and certainly don’t currently apply. Florida is a vibrant, growing state and has been since I relocated here over four decades ago. Yes, it’s true that many people still relocate here after they retire, but they don't arrive here to do nothing. They are active, many start new careers, and have a new lease on life. They enjoy the weather, beaches, and beautiful surroundings that the state offers. They also enjoy the fact that there is no state income tax and that the politics are based on common sense.
You would think that a state that welcomes retirees would lead the nation in hospice facilities, and yet Florida has only 94 licensed hospice programs operated by 57 providers.
Compare that to Los Angeles County, which has 1,923 registered hospice providers. That means one county in California has more than 20 times as many hospice providers as the entire state of Florida. The San Fernando Valley, especially Van Nuys, has been identified as a hub for this concentration, with reports of more than 200 hospice agencies within a single square mile.
The questions are these. Who the hell is running the state of California? How could something get so ridiculously bad without it drawing attention? And how bad is it?
Well, only the first stones are being overturned, and if these initial findings are any indication, the scandal and fraud involved will be astronomical, and it has taken place right under “Slick Newsom’s” arrogant, narcissistic nose.
On Tuesday, the DOJ announced that “Paul Richard Randall, of Orange, pleaded guilty Monday to one count of wire fraud committed while on release. He has been in federal custody since June 2025.”
Randall pleaded guilty to planning a scheme to steal $270 million in bogus Medi-Cal claims over an 11-month period.
Federal prosecutors allege that Randall and others, through a business named Monte Vista Pharmacy, submitted claims for expensive prescription drugs that contained generic ingredients deemed “not medically necessary.”
According to the DOJ, Monte Vista Pharmacy billed Medi-Cal millions of dollars each month after it suspended the requirement for healthcare providers to “obtain prior authorization before providing certain healthcare services or medications in order to receive reimbursement.”
Medi-Cal suspended the prior authorization requirement while it transitions to a new payment system.
Out of the $270 million billed to Medi-Cal, Randall and his co-conspirators received $178 million. He and the other defendants laundered money by transferring funds to a third party to pay kickbacks to Patricia Anderson, of West Hills.
When convicted, Randall is facing up to 30 years in federal prison.
According to First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli:
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche echoed those sentiments:
“In one day, the Department prosecuted the theft of half a billion in taxpayer dollars. All those ripping off the American people are on notice.”
Assistant Attorney General A. Tysen Duva of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division added:
I’ve always believed that conspiracy theories stop being theories when common sense dictates that what we know overrides any doubt. Does anyone believe that there could be 200 hospice agencies set up within a square mile, or that 1,923 could exist in one county without some political officials knowing about it? Connecting the dots even further, does anyone believe that these political officials weren’t benefiting from it in some way?
If you do, then California is the state you deserve, and Newsom and his political ilk are the leaders you have justified.
