Truth and Consequences

There are consequences for lying, and the American public as well as the Trump Administration seems ready to hold past Biden officials, and perhaps even former Obama Administration officials, responsible for the lies they have perpetrated

Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.” ~ Buddha

Many before me have written about the importance of always telling the truth and the consequences of not doing so. Unfortunately, many of my fellow earthlings have still not fully grasped this concept because we are presented daily with example after example of what happens when the truth is withheld or suppressed.

Not admitting or telling the truth almost always results in someone, somewhere, somehow fabricating and then promoting an untruth, more commonly called “a lie.”

Over the past 18 months, American media has been reporting on things that occurred (or not) while Joe Biden was the 46th President of the United States. The biggest “untruth” being pushed until just recently by the media and other Biden supporters is that President Biden was “sharp as a tack” and not in the least cognitively impaired. Unfortunately, just about every time Biden appears on camera, something out of the ordinary occurs like him wandering around on stage after a speech not knowing where the exit is or wandering off into the woods. His Presidential debate with Donald Trump was the biggest and probably the most shocking “tell” of Biden’s diminishing cognitive ability although the media tried their darnedest to make us believe otherwise.

A lie is like a snowball; it starts off small and then grows and grows until a point where it gets so big it falls apart and then the truth is discovered”. ~ Chris Hughes

Interestingly, as the truth about Biden’s diminished cognitive ability is starting to come out, bit by bit, those who previously tried to convince the American public that Joe was on point and on task are now starting to backpedal. CNN’s Jake Tapper, audacious liar that he is, along with Alex Thompson, an Axios political correspondent, have published a book called Original Sin: President Biden's Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again wherein they are trying to convince readers that they--respected members of the media--had been tricked into believing Biden had no cognitive impairment at all. Considering that millions of Americans could see with their own eyes that Biden was not only having cognitive issues, but also some mobility issues, it takes a lot of chutzpah to try to convince the rest of us they truly didn’t know what was going on.

“There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. “ ~ Soren Kierkegaard

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.” ~ Winston Churchill

If it wasn’t so despicable, it would be amusing to see so many journalists and so-called political correspondents coming out of the woodwork to claim they had no knowledge that Biden was cognitively impaired. They are most likely only changing their tune now--cowards that they are--as they realize their malfeasance as news reporters may cause them to lose viewership, credibility, and even their jobs.

Now, as Americans learn more and more about the many untruths and outright lies we have been told over the last five years, it is no wonder that Americans are no longer getting their daily news from mainstream sources but instead are turning to non-traditional media such as podcasts by sometimes just ordinary citizens with a message, independent newspapers like The Epoch Times, and alternative publications like Canada Free Press. Interestingly, it has often been the alternative media that is breaking important stories or at least asking important questions about what did or did not take place during the Biden Administration.

Silence becomes cowardice when occasion demands seeking out the whole truth and acting accordingly.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi

The lies Americans were told by the Democrats and mainstream media during Trump’s first term were very big lies with very big consequences. The Russian dossier hoax promoted by Hillary Clinton, James Comey, and other intelligence officials had far-reaching ramifications not only for Trump 45 personally but also in terms of our national security. Then when the Biden/Harris Administration took office in 2021, they continued to lie to the American public about COVID origins, how “dangerous” Donald Trump was, about our southern border being secure, and ultimately about Biden’s cognitive ability being just fine.

There are consequences for lying, and the American public as well as the Trump Administration seems ready to hold past Biden officials, and perhaps even former Obama Administration officials, responsible for the lies they have perpetrated. Nobody likes to be lied to at any point in time, but Americans especially don’t like to be lied to by representatives of our government or by the mainstream media.

“Truth will ultimately prevail where there are pains taken to bring it to light.” ~ George Washington
