Why We Cannot Back Down In Minneapolis

Over the past week, the number one news story has not been the thousands of Iranians who have died in what appears to a heading-to-an-overthrow of the half-century Iranian regime. It has not been about world changing positive consequences for America after the successful exfiltration of Maduro and his wife from Venezuela. Instead, the mainstream media has deluged us with the various videos and opinions of the shooting death of Renee Good.

I’m not going to write about whether the shooting was justified, as we have seen the videos and this will be investigated. Renee Good was restricting ICE operations and therefore was ordered out of her car. She refused to get out, despite an ICE agent’s arm inside her vehicle and she gunned her vehicle forward towards another ICE agent. In what appears to be self-defense, the agent fires at Good.

This whole situation is tragic all the way around, but the hyperbolic reaction against ICE goes well beyond this shooting. Immediately after the shooting, Mayor Jacob Frey, who oversaw the ignition of the 2020 Antifa/BLM rioting, not only called the ICE agent a murderer, but told ICE to “get the f..ck out of Minneapolis”.

Governor Tim Walz, who is up to his neck with financial fraud investigations, used similar words and even claimed he didn’t have faith in the FBI investigation of the shooting. The key thing to understand is that Democrats see what’s happening with ICE as a threat to their power base and want it stopped. ICE must not stop enforcement in Minneapolis.

Around a decade ago, Joe Biden was following a common Democrat theme when he spoke about immigration: (it should be) “an unrelenting stream of immigration, nonstop, nonstop… Folks like me who are Caucasian, of European descent, for the first time in 2017 we’ll be an absolute minority in the United States of America, absolute minority… and that’s a good thing” (Fox News, Dec. 12, 2020)

Biden proved these beliefs after being elected with his complete malfeasance on the Southern Border throughout his Presidency. Trump won the 2024 election campaigning primarily on closing the southern border and deporting illegal immigrants, which polls showed the majority of Americans wanted. Biden had to know his views about “an unrelenting stream of immigration” in America were political and not historical.

In the early 20th century, America allowed immigration of a substantial number of southern and Eastern Europeans to the primarily British and Northern European stock of Americans. To get control, the 1924 Immigration Act cut immigration to a trickle and this continued for the next four decades. Our leaders purposely wanted to Americanize these immigrants, as they knew demographic upheaval can be death to a nation.

For years, Democrats have demonized conservatives who repeat their plans for demographic upheaval. They have called this the “great replacement conspiracy theory”, despite the many statements from Democrats like Biden endorsing a massive flow of illegal immigration of those they assume will vote Democrat.

In June, Speaker Mike Johnson noted the following about legislation to prevent illegal aliens in Washington DC from voting. “Only American citizens should decide the outcome of American elections. Yet the D.C. City Council has made it clear they actually want noncitizens and even foreign actors to have an equal say in choosing a mayor and other local public officials in our nation’s capital.

As the constitutional authority overseeing the District, House Republicans stand firm against this un-American decision which undermines the rule of law and the core principles of our republic.

The vast majority of the Democrats voted against keeping illegal aliens from voting in DC. Whether or not illegal aliens can vote, their presence in blue areas (illegal migrants tend to flock urban blue areas) gives more Congressional representation to Democrats.

Currently, Census includes illegal aliens and other noncitizens as residents. Consequently, a state can gain extra congressional districts and representation in Congress thanks to the presence of a large population that isn’t legally allowed to vote.” (Heritage Foundation, Feb. 8, 2024)

Shortly after the Trump administration began following the will of the American people in deporting illegal aliens (starting with the most dangerous criminals) Democratic areas began rioting. Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, etc. After discovering the most massive financial fraud scandal in history among Somali immigrants in Minneapolis, ICE focused attention there. ICE knew this was the same Minneapolis that gave America eight months of Antifa/BLM rioting in 2020.

The same Minneapolis overseen by Democratic political leaders (like Gov. Tim Walz, who has ended his reelection bid under fraud investigation). Whether or not a shooting occurred, it was foreseeable Minneapolis would be giving ICE the worst treatment possible. It appears they are trying to bring back the “summer of love” of 2020: Utter mayhem. Democrats have already encouraged thousands to join the anti-ICE protests and further protests around the nation. The obvious goal is to cause ICE to withdraw from Minneapolis, which would be the end of enforcement of our law. The Trump administration and ICE must not give in despite the pressure.

Those of us who care about the nation and enforcing our laws need not becoming sidetracked due to the shooting. We saw the playbook in 2020 and won’t let it happen again.
