Today’s befuddlement comes to us from the United States Supreme Court. In arguments before the Supreme Court regarding birth right citizenship, the Honorable Justice Jackson, with a straight face, suggested that an illegal alien or any alien for that matter, dropping a newborn in America and giving that child automatic citizenship was equivalent her being under the jurisdiction of Japan when her wallet is stolen while visiting.
Her convoluted argument made it look like she has taken “word salad” lessons from Kamala Harris. Of course, we must not forget that Justice Jackson (a woman) could not define what a woman was at her confirmation hearings. Why the Republicans voted to confirm a woman who could not even define what a woman is to the highest court in the land completely baffles me.
America, we do, in fact, have the Supreme Court we deserve.
