We're used to folks delivering people, food and packages as drivers for popular apps. Tragically, this leads to truly heinous deaths and injuries as criminals target these workers.
I recall when a late 20th century spate of fatal carjackings prompted passage of original legislation on October 25th, 1992 to address this threat. US representative Barry Moore (R-Alabama) recently proposed a 'Federal Carjacking Enforcement Act' on November 19th, 2025, to further combat it.
