In the "Hamilton Spectator" newspaper of Thursday (Jan. 21, 2022), on p.3, a nearly full page article by Joanna Frketich, had the headline "Hamilton hospitals out of key COVID drug."
Its second paragraph read: "For at least two weeks, there has been almost no access to tocilizumab, which suppresses the overreaction of the immune system that often causes severe illness in COVID patients. ..."
The significance of this sentence is far greater than merely pointing to a lack of a medicinal compound. Why do I state that?
